An inflating balloon demonstrates the geometry of the expanding universe.

Assembly Instructions

Instructions
Attach the balloon to the air pump's hose. Cable tie the balloon on. Mount the balloon in mid-air by clamping it with the 3-finger clamp.

Operation Steps
1   Turn on the pump, and dial up the variac to ~60
Instructions
Turn on the variac and dial to ~60. It will seem like very little is happening at first, but this is the best way to warm up the pump and get a gradual inflation (otherwise when the pump warms up it will almost pop the balloon instantly).
