Objective

​Show using a piezoelectric transducer the difference in hitting a baseball bat on and off of the sweetspot.

Assembly Instructions

​Using a long bench rod and cross bar hang the bat so that it can easily be struck with the baseball hammer. Tape the piezo transducer to the end of the bat, be careful to place the wire from the piezo so it is not in the way of the swinging bat. Connect the piezo to the O-scope and make sure that the settings for so that one can easily see the waveforms properly. It is prudent to lower the benchrod as much as possible when in transit to be sure one does not hit low hanging fire alarms.

​Hit the bat with the baseball hammer at the desired location and watch the O-scope show you the wave form.
