Objective

​To demonstrate that a balloon full of hot air will rise as density of hot air is lower than density of room temperature air.

Assembly Instructions

Place the meker burner into the hot air balloon exhaust assembly. String the balloon through the release rod. Light the meker burner and adjust flame. Place the opening of the balloon over the top of the exhaust assembly and hold it there until the balloon is filled with hot air. Release the balloon with a twist of the release rod and watch it float to the ceiling. Catch the balloon on the way down.

**be very careful in retrieving the hot air balloon as it is made of tissue paper and easily ripped**​

Operation Instructions

**Two people required​**

Place the meker burner into the hot air balloon exhaust assembly. String the balloon through the release rod. Light the meker burner and adjust flame. Place the opening of the balloon over the top of the exhaust assembly and hold it there until the balloon is filled with hot air. Release the balloon with a twist of the release rod and watch it float to the ceiling. Catch the balloon on the way down.
