Objective

Demonstrates the height of water in various arms of a connected system will be the same regardless of the shape of the container.

Assembly Instructions

Overview:  Make sure that dye in solution is fully dissolved and that no particles are suspended.  The Unit leaks slowly so it should be put into the large blue tray.  Make sure that the dyed solution is very dark for proper visibility.

Instructions:  A large container is filled with colored water and connected at the base through a valve to the special stand.  Begin with all valves closed.  The valve on the opposite side of the stand should flow to a sink for disposal when completed.

Operation Instructions

When ready to perform the experiment, make sure the valve to the tube to the sink is closed.  Next open the valve on the other side of the stand.  Finally, lift the valve to the large container full of water and watch the water flow into the tubes at equal heights regardless of the container shape.
