The rotational acceleration of the system for different moments of inertia is compared.
InstructionsThe model consists of a rotational system with variable moments of inertia mounted on a free shaft along with a pulley. The system is driven by a falling weight hung on the cord wrapped around the pulley. The moment of inertia of the rotational system can be changed by moving the weights in and out on the shaft. For best results the driving weight should be 1 kg.
